PIER INFORMATION
The regulations regarding pier installation and maintenance at Mallwood are clearly defined to ensure that all members adhere to the established guidelines. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the key points:
Membership Status:
-
Members must be in good standing to be eligible for a pier spot. This means that all dues, fines, assessments, etc., must be paid in full to Mallwood.
-
If a member is not in good standing, they will lose their privilege to use the pier.
Annual Privilege:
-
The privilege to install a pier is granted for one season or year but will be extended annually as long as the member continues to pay all dues and fees and complies with all Bylaws.
Installation Timeline:
-
Piers cannot be installed before March 15th each year.
-
Piers must be installed by June 15th; failure to do so may result in the loss of pier privileges.
-
All piers must be removed from the lake by November 1st. However, there are provisions for extensions due to extreme weather conditions or on a case-by-case basis with notification from the Mallwood Board.
Application Process:
-
To obtain a pier spot, members need to fill out a Pier List Request Form located below.
-
If all spots are currently occupied, there is a waiting list that gets updated after monthly meetings.
-
If a member who is next on the waiting list declines an available spot, they will move to the end of the waiting list.
Enforcement of Rules:
-
The enforcement of these rules ensures fair access and usage among members while maintaining compliance with community standard.
